I have always loved exercising and playing sports. After the birth of my first child in 2010, a friend pointed me to Zumba Fitness videos to get fit after the birth. Being a salsa and merengue dancer, I immediately fell in love with Zumba.
When I fully recovered from my C-section, I decided to take the Zumba Instructor training and created Bloom Fitness, teaching Zumba in Leicester from April 2011, which I absolutely loved. Although the training taught me how to structure and deliver a Zumba class, I did not feel it taught me enough about fitness and exercise, so I took a Level 3 Advanced Exercise to Music course to deepen my knowledge. I loved the course and learning about anatomy and safe workouts, so in 2013 I decided to go further and took a Level 3 Personal Training course while I was pregnant with my second child.
While I loved the exhilarating and happy feeling of the Zumba classes, I wanted to help people more individually to get fit and recover their health. In 2014, I moved to Louth in Lincolnshire where I carried on teaching Zumba and started one-to-one Personal Training sessions. It was extremely rewarding and fulfilling to help people get fit, adopt healthier habits and reach their goals.
When I moved to Oxford in 2018, I found a job as a Teaching Assistant at the local primary school where my kids were going. It was very convenient, and I enjoyed being part of a team again, however I missed being a Personal Trainer and teaching Zumba so in January 2021, I decided to start Bloom Fitness in Oxford!
Because I had not worked in the Fitness industry for 3 years, I had to update my qualifications, so I re-took the Zumba Fitness training, and I am currently taking two qualifications, a Level 3 GP Referral and a Level 4 Weight Management for Obesity to be able to re-start Personal Training hopefully from August 2021.
I am ever so excited to start my Zumba classes in Oxford on the 17th May and I hope I will be able to help more people get fit, reach their goals and live a healthier life!
